Manzanillo

Manzanillo impresses with its magnificent, oriental architecture. The colonial old town of Manzanillo has been preserved in almost its original condition. If you follow the coast south from Manzanillo, you will reach the Southern Cape of Cuba and the Parque Nacional del Desembarque del Granma Natural Park. Driving east from Manzanillo is Bayamo. 7 km off the coast of Manzanillo is the small island of Cayo Perla, a paradise for snorkelers and divers.

General:

Manzanillo is located around 60 km west of the provincial capital of Bayamo on the Gulf of Guacanayabo in Granma Province in Cuba and has the most important port on the Gulf. Granma is considered the forgotten province of Cuba, ideal for individual tourism because you will find largely untouched landscapes, free from mass tourism. Manzanillo is on the western edge of the Sierra Maestra mountain range with the highest mountain in Cuba, the Pico Turquino at 1,974 m
